Stuart's Story
After college I spent 25 years as a newspaper reporter and editor. Although the money wasn't terrific, it was a great life. I met all sorts of interesting people, had the opportunity to report and write from Central Amercia and cover state government issues in Maryland during the 1980s. ally deciding in 2005 that that part of my journey had run its course. The changing nature of newspapers and journalism, coupled with terrible hours and time away from my family finally took its toll. Now, I run my own small, but growing communications consulting and advertising firm with a focus on the gourmet food industry and high-end resort developments. I still keep my hand in journalism writing for Gourmet News, which allows me to eat all kinds of great food.
