Stuart's Story

Life I work as a nondestructive testing and sales engineer in a commercial laboratory. I have been in the nuclear power, forging, welding and general fabrication business since 1973. I began in the laboratory busines in 1985 and have worked there since. Every day brings something new and makes it exciting. I have worked on the Hunley, the Confederate submarine from the Civil War and on artifacts from LaSalle's ship, The Belle from 1686. I volunteer at the Oriental Museum on the University of Chicago ...Expand for more
as a docent giving tours of the museum and explaining the artifacts, such as a 17' tall 12,000# statue of King Tut. I restored an old wooden boat from 1948 and have recently started collecting and rebuilding classic cars. So far I have a 1954 Mercury Monterey (crazy bout a Mercury as the Alan Jackson song goes) and a 1955 Nash Ambassador Super. I have travelled a lot and have been all around the United States , Mexico, Canada, Rome, Italy, Athens and the Greek Isles, Turkey, Norway, Finland and Alaska.
