Sue's Story
Life
Time to update this bio. Graduated in 1975, got married Sept/75, and divorced Jan/80. Had a wonderful son, Scott(Fuller) (namesake, Scott Burgess) in '79, who grew up a ZeeBee. Scott attended CLC and now works as a Department Head for the Winthrop Harbor Park District. Scott had good goals, stayed out of trouble, played baseball, and recently got married. He is a great guy who I am very proud of!
I have lived in Illinois, Chicago area all my life until Aug/02 when I moved to a small town outside of Indianapolis. I have been re-married for 21 years and have 2 more daughters, Kelli (20) and Katie (14). Kelli is a junior at Illinois State, and Katie is a freshman in H.S. Both girls are good too. I have been very fortunate to have 3 level headed, on the right path, children.
I have worked for American Stores / Albertson, Inc. (Jewel,Osco,Savon,Albertsons,Lucky,Acme), for 17 years, mostly as a Compensation Analyst and love what I do. I survey all Drug,Food and General Merchandise chains like Walgreens, Safeway, Target, etc for wages and salaries to keep our company competitive is all our markets.
My husband, Kevin, is an HR Director for a French owned company, whose U.S. operations are based out of Indianapolis.

been coming here for many years since the beginning of the Brickyard 400. We are very much into Nascar, and am even looking forward to the Indy 500 excitement as well, even though I don't know much about the drivers. I'm sure I will!
Glad to be a Classmate member, and have found some very good friends through this website! These are people, most I didn't know while in school, but am happy to say, I know them now!! Would love to gain some more friends here in the future!
Workplace
I have worked with American Stores/Albertson's since 1985 and have worked my way up within the business.
I started as a Payroll Clerk, then Payroll Supervisor, moved over to Compensation as a Comp Analyst, then to a Market Information Manager where the Comp Department was relocated to Salt Lake City.
After I spent a year commuting from Illinois to Salt Lake City, I decided to come back home as a Supply Chain Analyst for about 4 years.
Luckily, after the Albertson / American Stores merger, I was offered to go back to doing the Comp work, but they would allow me to do it from the Jewel office.
My husband took a new position in Indianapolis, and once again, Albertsons allowed me to take my job with me, and do it from my home office. I am happy things have worked out for me, and hope this continues.
