Sue's Story

So glad to see other classmates on this site. As for me, well... here is the short version! After 8 yrs as Mrs. Bryan Swift, we were divorced on our anniversary. I had left Yosemite and lived in other parts of California and Arizona for a few years. Moved to Colorado Springs and went to work at the airport for an Airline, where my boss introduced Steven Fox and I (we had two children). Had enough of that marriage and vowed never to marry again! Went back to school to become an Occupational Therapist, and was hired the year before graduating by a nationwide company upon completion of my degree. On my second, and last internship, a man came into my life who is my husband today. His name is Jerry, and is a real gem. Married in Barbados in 1996, sailed through the Caribbean islands(snorkeled lots), through the canal, and up the coast of Mexico. It was great! We love to travel and have spent 2 1/2 weeks in China July of 1999, Tirol Alps of Austria, Germany and Italy in 2006, as well as our yearly trip to Mexico. We just returned (as of Jan 28th, 2008) from Antarctica, Argentina, Chile and Brazil. What a great trip! My son Zack is 23 in December 2011, and daughter Christen is 25 in December 2011. Zack is studying to be a chef and is working as a prep chef at The Cliff Housse in Manitou Springs, Colorado (just down from our house really). Christy is studying to be an inter...Expand for more
preter for the deaf, and early childhood education. We purchased an RV in July of 2004 and are having a ball. We still love to world travel, but are loving the travel in the good 'ole USA too. I've acquired a potting wheel and kiln after classes at the local fine arts center (from Pam McClaren's cousin Jamie. He's a great teacher) and am enjoying the creative process. My family and friends love it as they receive the fruits of my labors. Cooking is a great joy and is another avenue for creativeness, plus learning wine pairings has been a continued education we love. Back to college in the Fall of 2007 to become more fluent in Spanish. I could become a full time student for the rest of my life and love it, but there is so much to do in life! Our family has added two new additions as of June 7th, 2008. We acquired two black and silver miniature Schnauzers. Brock (badger in German) and Heidi. This means I have to get away from the computer more often and walk more. We're loving them. Hubby, kids, and I are all big time gamers and love to play together. Even got big brother Gerry into it. He is in Colorado Springs also now. It's great to have him so close. We get together often. He's doing very well and is keeping in shape. The 2009 reunion was great and it was awesome to see so many alumni there! Hope to be there in 2014. Hugs and good fortune to all, Sue B.
