Sue's Story
Life
I am happily remarried, to Tom White,(Class of 67),we live across the street from our old High School. I have a BA and was an aerospace Engineer(10 yrs), Elem. School Teacher(1st Grade), Medical Asst.(7 yrs),Social Worker for (Battered Women) and now I am an Ordained Minister and counsel women. I was Pastor of a church that I pioneered in Harbor City, (Who would have thought?) I am a Pentecostal. My daughter is 24 and getting married this Aug. I am writing my autobiography. Lots of personal tragedy. I Help Battered Women. I counsel women at a place near the Peninsula Center. I love living in P.V. There's no place like it if you have to live in the L.A. area. I miss living in Oregon, where I actually lived off the land at one time, and North San Diego(In Vista) sometimes but don't miss the junk I had to go through. I do a lot of reading now, researching, and studying. I want to write a book on "End-Time Prophecy" and somehow, I can really connect with that subject. I'm still blonde...minus the gray, and would like to see what this web site sends my way. My daughter,Julie, went to P.V Intermediate and Peninsula High...how about that! Mr. Kinney and Mrs. Crane says "HI." I had the privilege of teaching with Carole...Expand for more
Unfried, the choir teacher some of us had at PVHS. Saw Mr.Costantini the other day. Come and visit me sometime, I live near Tobacco Road (remember that place?)But I don't smoke anymore. My husband's '67 Class Reunions are a ton of fun! Maybe that's when the drug culture began to get crazy. It was worse by '69 because of Viet Nam and all.I still sing, play guitar, and write songs.I am in touch with some of our old classmates. My brothers, Steve and Rick, both live in Folsom, CA. but fortunately, they don't live in the prison there.(Miracle, huh?)
***** This is an update and now I am going to be a grandma this November. See you at the reunion, I hope!
School
I finally attended Harbor College in 1982 and graduated with honors...Dean's List, Honor Roll, and Scholarship...can you believe that?! From there to Pepperdine University, until Hughes Aircraft wouldn't pay for it anymore. Then to Cal St.Univ.Dominguez Hills in Carson. I always worked full-time and went to school full-time while being a single mom. I also have a lot of extra credentials post University. Teaching, Medical, Theological, Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing, Management, Counseling. I finally started liking school beginning in the late 70's.
