Sue's Story
After HS graduation I attended college for 2 yrs intending to be a teacher. I decided 4 yrs was too long to wait for a paycheck so I got a full time job with B&E Sales. I left B&E and went to work with one of my friends, Kathy Archer at Computer Graphics Co. One of our clients was Detroit Edison and within a few years, I was working for them. Spent 22 wonderful years with Edison and took a voluntary buy out in 2001. Since I was too young to truly retire and would have gone crazy sitting around, I got a part time job at a Veterinary Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. different that my first. I have been fortunate enough to enjoy them both.
I got married in 1983 to Jeff Mitchell and had a daughter, Courtney in 1985. Jeff and I divorced in 1992 but remain friends. I remarried in 1997 to Bill Deneau, who I met at Detroit Edison and we are still together today. We live in Canton, MI with our 2 greyhounds and have a cottage on Long Lake in Alpena. We are active in greyhound rescue and I am on the Board of Directors of Greyheart Greyhound Rescue & Adoption of Michigan.
I still enjoy sports and was actually inducted into the USSSA National Hall of Fame for softball in 1989. For the past 15 years however, golf has become my game of choice.
