Sue's Story
I hope old friends remember me as a nice person, but it's so long ago, that I'm not really sure how I'm remembered. I do know that I was quiet at times, very insecure, and wanted to fit in. I also know at times that I wasn't very nice, but believe me, I still beat myself up over those!
How am I remembered? That is an interesting question.
My best friend would tell you I'm an angel, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as happy, bubbly, and funny, without a care in the world. Oh my...what they DON'T know!

'm now much more outgoing and talkative. I'm very open minded and accepting of others, and try to always put myself in their shoes in order to understand them better. I teach a Family to Family class for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illnesses). I have a passion, a TRUE passion for this as someone very close to me, whom I love with all my heart, struggles every day with a mental illness. My passion is to educate families, and to help eradicate the stigma that surrounds mental illnesses. They are TRULY biological and chemical, just like any other illness (diabetes, cancer, etc.).
