Hi all, Last August I moved to Green Bay, WI. Arrived during Packer training camp, so we got involved a little with the fun. We went to watch them practice got autographs afterward as they walked out past us. Some kids had their bicycle there for the guys to ride back across the street to the stadium. The kid would then carry the players helmet or shoulder pads. After showers they came backout for more autographs if they had time. We each got 7-9 guys to sigh our caps or picture frame. J even went to a Don Driver dinner & got to meet him, had his pix taken with him with autographed cap. Green Bay had 86.1 inches , the snowiest winter in 118 years and broke the old snowfall record, snowmobilers & skiers were in snow heaven. Before the move that was an issue that was put to rest. Wrong, Lucky us! This was subsequently a special year. Yes, in more ways than we could have guessed. Just got back from springbreak in Texas at nephew's 200 acre ranch. He and family live in Friendswood but the Lake Ranch is an hour west. It is about 50 minutes south of my daughter's ,home and job at Boys and Girls Country. She and her husband are houseparents to 7 teenage girls and have two boys of their own. They work 8days/24hrs then theyare off 4/24. A temp. houseparent comes in to take over.
