I live in very small farming town in Iowa, up until last year I taught piano for 20 years. Now I am working on my certification to become lifeguard and swimming instructor. I am married (1st husband died in 1978) have 1 son and 1 granddaughter. My husband is a high school science teacher which is very ironic because that was always my worst subject. He will be retiring this Spring and we plan on traveling for a bit and then we are going to start raising golden retrievers as a business. Life has been difficult at times - my high school years were very traumatic for me as I was hiding many secrets and living in a house where horrific things were going on to my brothers and me. It is sad to think about this as I don't go back there in my mind much anymore. I have a good life now, wonderful husband, son and daughter in law and granddaughter - we live in a town where there isn't even a stop light which I absolutely love. About 10 years ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and for a while there, I was quickly headed for a wheelchair but my doctor suggested that I take up swimming - which has been great for me - now I am lifeguarding and teaching advanced swimming.
