Susan's Story

I moved to California way back in 1977 and attended nursing school until I realized I did not enjoy being a nurse. I have much respect for those that continue in nursing as it is an extremely hard career. I met my husband in a cafe in San Francisco in 1978 and we were married for almost 20 years prior to his passing away. I have been employed with the State of California for 23 years now. I manage a legal office where judges hear appeals from people who have been denied unemployment or disability insurance benefits. With the economy the way it is business is booming! I still love my job even after 23 years and I am grateful for...Expand for more
that! I visit Florida often as we have a home outside of Tampa. I have not been back to New York for several years but plan to visit in the future. I love San Francisco, especially the hills, the ocean and most of all the Cable Cars. I love to travel and have visited many places. My favorite point of destination is any island with a beautiful beach! I have never been to Europe but I so want to see Italy, especially Venice. Oh, I go to Las Vegas a lot as it is only a one hour flight from SF. Life has had its ups and downs but in general life has been good to me. I still cannot believe we graduated 35 years ago! Bye for now.
