Susan's Story
After graduation, I attended NMU's Nursing class from Marquette General Hospital, to be a practical nurse. I graduated in January of l971. I got married to my boyfriend of three years., James Douglas. we have been married for 38 years and Have six children, 2 boys and 4 girls. They are now all married except the youngest ,Jeremy. I went back to NMU in 1994 to study for a Fine Arts degree in Painting/Etching/papermaking. I attended for eight years, when my youngest daughter was ready to go to college. I did not have the funds to put us both through. So I moved over for her to start her life and now I babysit her two babies. I still paint and draw, I have alot to offer my grandchildren, especially those who are interested in Art Also.
