things are changing rapidly right now; me and bam bam (my very shy himalayan kittie) are finally leaving california, after 25 very long years. I need to see seasons again and not see graffitti and shaved head wanna be gang bangers. someone once said i was lucky to live in beautiful california. problem is, you cant see california for all the houses, cars, freeways and smog. now it is just too crowded, too noisy and too mean. am glad to head back east, this time to minnesota. have never been there but am looking forward to beautiful leaves in the fall and snowballs to throw at my friend. this is my 61st birthday present to myself. bam bam has never been away from california, so snow should be a real experience. normally, he never goes outside, but i plan to take him out with a leash and see what he thinks of all that white stuff. would love to hear from more classmates; it is fun to catch up and feel like home again. later: have been through my first winter and loved it. did not even buy a winter coat, just used my long sweater. but will have to buy gloves next winter because zero degrees hurts my hands and nails. now spring has spru...Expand for more
