Susan's Story

Here's a bullet list of things I've accomplished since 1974: - Attended Delta College - A.A. - Continued to date Mark Burns - Worked for the U.S. Probation Department and various attorneys in Bay City - didn't like the 'bad boys' at probation - too bad I didn't stay with it - I'd be retired with a nice retirement now! - Moved to Grand Rapids (followed Mark to GVSU) - started working for Gantos in management - moved back to Bay City - my mother died of cancer in 1980 - moved to Muskegon (Gantos' transfer) - married Mark Burns in 1981 - left Gantos to return to college - GVSU and WMU (B.A. - Women's Studies and marketing) - divorced Mark Burns in 1986 - met Dick Mulvey in 1986 - married Dick Mulvey in 1988 - gave birth to my only child, Christopher, on May 2, 1989 - became involved in the Montessori community in 1993 when I enrolled Chris in preschool - completed Mon...Expand for more
tessori training in 1996 - certified to teach 3-6 year olds - continued with Montessori to present time - currently operate a Montessori early childhood center (0-6 years old) in Whitehall, MI - it's May 30, 2009 - still married to Dick Mulvey and still living in Muskegon, Michigan - currently revisiting voluntary simplicity and a sustainable lifestyle, including the environment I often think I would have been happier living through my third and fourth plane of development during the 1960's; either that, or join the Amish . . . currently exploring CSA's, communal living and my spirituality. Having said that, check out the results of my "Quizzes" - I'm a 1960's free radical who would love to drive a 1974 Mustang, eat M & M's, play Candy Land, read poems like Mr. Keating, and walk around in a shark costume. I can pretty much relate to every thing but the shark . . .
