Susan's Story
I am married to my best friend, Steve. We have been married since 1992 but we dated 5 years before we married. He is my soul mate and I know he is a gift from God to me. I have two children from a previous marriage and Steve has two children, too. His boys are like my own. We live in Forest Lake and I love it here. We have been empty nesters for quite some time, but it looks like that is going to change soon. I have two grandchildren who are the joy of my life.
My career is that of an Occupational Therapist. I work in the homecare field. It is a stressful job, but I love helping people. My passion is for the elderly. They are wise and experienced, and they are not all set in their ways!
I am active in my church and I love Jesus. I am a social and fiscal conservative, if you can believe that! I help out with political campaigns when I have the time. I write emails or make phone calls...Expand for more
to my Representative, Congress person, Senators and President, when issues arise that will affect our freedoms, liberties and pocketbook. I had a great time at the tea party at the State Capital on tax day. History in school was worth learning and yet there is so much more to learn!
I love to spend time with my grandchildren. I enjoy the road under my feet when I ride with my husband on the motorcycle. I like to fish, camp, ATV, hike/walk, garden, and read. I really do not care for the winters here in MN but I stay because of family and friends.
I have learned to live life with gratitude. I am thankful for each day, regardless of circumstances, and I have been through some circumstances!
That sums it up for now. I enjoy reading stories of my classmates. When I learn how to post pictures on the computer some day (in my spare time!), I will do it.
