Susan's Story
Serving as a Colonel and PhD in the United States Air Force, just finishing my 24th year . I am currently stationed at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda Maryland where I serve as the Senior Air Force Faculty in the PhD and Nurse Anesthesia Programs at the Graduate School of Nursing. I am married and I have 2 children, 2 step children and 5 grand children. My husband is Anthony Perry, USAF Retired. He is a wood worker and teaches/designs wood art. y in Cape Cod, and my youngest lives in Cary, NC and works in investment banking and as a screen writer.
During my military career I have been deployed 4 times, twice for humanitarian operations and twice in support of combat actions as a Nurse Anesthetist and Commander of two units. I currently perform research in pain, and Malignant Hyperthermia and nursing theory.
We have 3 years until retirement and plan on living part of the year in our Lake home in Maine and the rest of the year in Cary, NC.
