Susan's Story
Life
I'm the Controller/Office Manager for a General Contractor in Maryland. They build wastewater and water treatment plants in DC, MD and VA. There are also a number of side companies so it keeps me quite busy. I love my job and am so happy doing what I'm doing.
Prior to this I transitioned through a public accounting firm for a nine-month period while I spun off all but a tiny handful of my clients from my own accounting business. I had enjoyed being self-employed for three years and had done so wonderfully but lost myself ...Expand for more
in the process. To be able to enjoy my work and have a life and time for my son is just so wonderful!
My son is now 13 and he is in the Seventh Grade Grade. He sings in the Jr. Choir at the Episcopal Church where we attend. He played baseball for the first time last year and his team won the league championship. He placed fifth on his team out of thirteen boys. This year he has decided to spend the summer doing a Discovery Camp (kayaking, hiking, camping, etc). He is now playing football and joined Drama Kids International.
