Susan's Story

Life So, here I am in Vermont. I'm divorced and have three children. In the years since high school I went to college for Fine Arts, got married, inherited two step children,lived in 7 different states from the East coast to the West,had a son, moved to Vermont, went back to college for a teaching degree in Special Education, became a Special Educator, went back to college and got a Master's in Education. I'm now a Special Educator in a middle school several miles from my home in a ...Expand for more
small Vermont town. My two step children are grown and I have two grandchildren. My youngest son is in his second year at Purdue studying Aerospace Engineering. I still love to paint. I most recently was in Baltimore in April of 2005 for a teacher's convention. Met up with my dear friend Pat Boles. This was the first time I had been there in 12 years. It has certainly changed! Still I wouldn't trade rural Vermont for anything! Would love to hear from folks I went to school with.

I had a wonderful birthday celebration yesterday. I had told Preston how Aunt Rie always made me a strawberry short cake for my birthday every year so this is what he surprised me with. Also a wonderful meal and presents!
So what ever plans I had for today have been drastically altered. Got up at 6:30 and saw a 7 ft by 10ft lake in my diningroom/kitchen from a leaking radiator. The heating guy has come and gone, now I'm waiting on the plum
