Life
Married Ray Cooper '67-82, three kids: Raymond 32 - Medical Office Manager/ Orthopedic Practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Stephanie 30 - Nurse - New Smyrna Beach, FL; married with Heather 12 and Zachary 9, Richard 26 - Hairdresser/Fort Lauderdale, FL. Met Scott Newell in 1983 (eventually married in 1996--wanted to be sure this time. We have one daughter Amanda - 15, who is the Florida State Horse Knowledge Champion for 4-H. Because of her interest in horses, we now live on a 5 acre farm with 4 horses, 2 cows, 2 sheep, 2 goats, 3 rabbits, 3 pigs and too many fowl to count (these are all 4-H animals shown at the fair). ar our grandchild(ren). I am a R.N. with a certification in Neonatal Intensive Care but now work as to 7pm to 7am Hospital Supervisor. Our trauma hospital holds 400 patients and is very busy! I also continue to work the Neonatal ICU to keep my skills up. My hobby is country line dancing - only because I go by myself and do not have a partner (Scotty does not like to dance!). One of our horses is mine. His name is Roho and he is a quarter horse/arabian mix. I ride whenever I get a chance. The only time I really miss New York is in October. I try to go up every year to enjoy at least a little fall weather. I spend a good amount of time at the beach here in New Smyrna because I only live 3 miles from it.
