Susan's Story
Life
After I graduated from San Diego State University, I worked in advertising and marketing, got married and had two wonderful daughters. I lived in the Bay Area, Dallas, Texas, and now currently in Las Vegas.
I have just gotten engaged to Rob Scott, my high school sweetheart. He found me here on Classmates. I will be moving to South Carolina soon. My daughters are now 16 and 13. Life is good again!
Story Wizard Answers:
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I still would love to do that some day.
How I blow off steam:
Spend time on the internet like this, or watch Animal Planet with my 13 year old daughter, or, when driving, I love to blast old 70's and 80's songs and sing, not well, I might add.
My biggest surprise in life:
You can find true love 30 years later. I never expected this to happen.
If I won $100 million, I would first buy homes for some family members who are struggling, put aside enough for my children's education, buy a couple homes for myself in areas I love, donate and help battered women and abused children, help animals, travel and write!
I did not really like being in a sorority, don't like rules, etc. (typical Aquarian). My best co...Expand for more
llege memories are when I lived in an apartment w/3 other girls, by the pool, and supported myself.
First crush: Donny Osmond. He's doing very well. Met him in 2001 at a Meet & Greet after his concert here in Vegas. A very nice, attractive man with a good (clean) sense of humor. He's 50 and still married to his wife after 30 years.
Style: The only work outfits I still get compliments on are from the 80's. I don't know why, but I love wearing them. My oldest is a lavender sweater dress from 1980. Go figure.
One do-over: Would have spent my 20's working on my career instead of finding a husband. I had a fiance in my late 20's who tried to ruin my life and it still hurts.
My oldest friend: Lisa, my roommate at SDSU (25 years). I looked her up on the Internet about 6 years ago, and we just took up where we left off after 10 years. I saw her in CA, and now she lives on Maui. I don't know how we re-connected, probably through music, it brings back memories (that's my latest obsession).
Surprise at HS reunion (oh please, its been almost 30 years) Probably that I don't look much different than I did 30 years ago. I won't be there, since I have a lot of plans to make this fall.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Interesting questions, Classmates!
