STOP's Story

We had one son, John III, born in 1971. Unfortunately, we lost John to cancer on March 19, 2012. Without any other immediate family - parents gone, no sibli...Expand for more
ngs, no other children, no grandchildren - the past 4 years have been extremely difficult for us. We have been taking it "one day at a time" but the loss of a child is pure devastation. Big and I are in reasonably good health and just trying to put one foot in front of the other. We have been very content in NC and expect to remain here.

Hey Bud – I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I lost you! I will always remember you squeezing my hand tightly as they were wheeling you into surgery and saying, “We had a great run Kid.” I told you it wasn’t over and

RIP Ryan (5/8/2011-3/21/2022) I had to put Ryan down this morning. One of the hardest things I've done in a while. Don't know how to move forward without his love and total affection. I love you Ryan!
To John III in heaven: I have to wrap my head around 10 years!!!
Big John - Happy 75th Birthday. I hope there are a lot of cardinals in Heaven...
RIP “Big Guy” (2008-4/12/2022) – I had to put Big Guy down this morning. He will be buried next to Ryan who I lost 3 weeks ago. They will be in heaven together. Good-bye my precious friend. Both you and Ryan held me tog

No words necessary!
To John H. Patrick, III - 6/30/1971 - 3/19/2012 residing in Heaven - My Son, My Only Child, My Best Creation, My Worst Fear - I miss you more than words can ever say...
