Susan's Story

Got my LPN/LVN in '74 worked on a Neuro Muscular rehab Unit then moved on to Long term Care and doing Insurance Physicals; Moved out Anaheim CA in '82; <et my future husband in '87 and got married in '91; we had 17 years together with 14 years of being married when he passed away in Jan 2005-10 days after our 14th anniversary. Because of him, I got my RN in '93 and my BSN with a Minor in Gerentology and Public Health Nurse Certificate in '01. We did not have children, he had 1 son from his previous marriage. However between my sister and 2 brothers I have 8 nephews and 4 n...Expand for more
eices and a plethera of great nieces and nephews. I know live with my sister and her family in Riverside CA in a Big 2 story 4 bedroom home where we have a little over a dozen assorted fruit trees that I care for ( a talent I inherited from my late hubbie) and 4 cats and 4 birds (parakeets). IIt is a Lively and fun houselhold. I continue to work full-time (12 hour shifts -3 days/week) on an Oncology'Gyne/Med-Surg Unit and Love it! I am certified in giving chemo-therapy. I've been in nursing now for 41 years and can still say for me--that it is the best profession around.
