Susan's Story
Life
Somehow I got trapped in middle school, where I've taught first history and later English to my favorite "hormones with feet," now including my own youngest daughter. Retired just this past June. I divorced my husband of 30 years (a long story, including his MS saga) a few years ago, and remarried August of 08, but remain living on Cape Cod where I've been for decades. My husband and I share our house with an energetic Cairn terrier and we have a pond down the street. The ocean is nearby in any direction and I love it here. the local paper, and dabble in photography when I have the time. All three of my children were trans-racially adopted. Andy is grown and has kids of his own, Kayla turned out autistic and is in an excellent residential school, and Janai is currently living in a group home for independent living skills--i she hasn't run away this week. I still love teaching so don't plan to really stop working. I spent lots of time teaching other teachers how to integrate technology into their curriculum and learning new things, so am hoping to move on and get away from testing mania!
