Susan Mardele:  

Life update I've been living in Texas since 1979. Worked in a variety of jobs including commodity futures, telecommunications business development, high-tech sales and then sales managment. In 1990, I married Lyle Failes and took his name. In 1992, our son, Kenny, was born, and I left corporate. I worked with Lyle in his graphics business for a couple of years in sales and writing/editing. In 1994, we moved to the country to remodel a barn for some friends and for us to live in. This was completed in 1996 and we moved in. Shortly after that, I began expanded the writing and editing I had been doing and started my own company -- Word Art. Until 2003, I wrote marketing communications, scrips, Web content, editorial copy, public relations materials and did voice overs. In 2001, Lyle and I separated and then divorced in 2003. Someone else had given me the two names I'd had to that point, so I determined to choose my own name this time. I kept Susan. I always liked that. I took Rose as my middle name, and took Mardele, my original middle name, as my last name. I continued freelancing until June, 2003, when I took a contract with Verizon. I managed the long distance part of their Web site, and in early 2004 took on Online Help. The contract ended in 2006 and I've been back to working...Expand for more
