Susan's Story
Hi Everyone,
I went to Our Holy Redeemer from 1960-1968. I remember St. Elphonce Louise and Sister Mary Matthews. I share stories with my students about St. Elphonce Louise and how she would play football with her students at recess. I still remember her paddle with the words bottom ups. Thank God she never used it on me. My students still don't believe that I was in a class of 50 students with no paraprofessional.
I moved to Savannah, GA in 1968 and basically settled here. My parents and brothers returned to NY in 1971 and moved to Stoney Brook. Eventually my brothers Todd and Jo...Expand for more
hn returned to GA, attended college, married, and both of them have their own CPA firms. I got married in 1977, had two children, became a teacher and earned a doctorate degree. I teach a third grade gifted class in a public school, teach adults as well as students, and love what I do.
I love boating and going to concerts. Recently my husband and I went to see James Taylor in St. Augustine, FL and had a great time. In August he wants to return again to Crosby, Stills, and Nash. It has been thirty years since I last saw them. WOW does time fly!
I'd love to hear from an old classmate.
