Susan's Story
In 1968 my (boyfriend) now husband, Jerry was drafted in the Army. One year later he was patroling the East/West border in Germany. We were married and I went with him. We will be celebrating our 40th anniversary this December. I went back to college after our son was born. I received by BA and MS degree. I later got my license as a Marriage & Family Therapist. I have a private counseling practice here in Bakersfield. I may be opening a second practice on the central coast soon. and in several other countries. We have a wonderful son, Michael and now daughter-in-law, Leanne, and a 5 year old grandson, Garrett, and an 8 year old granddaughter, Peyton. We recently built a house on the central coast on a hill over looking the ocean. We are blessed and I am thankful!. That is the readers digest version of the last 40 years.
FYI: I also look a lot older but my strategy was this: whenever I began getting gray hair I had a little blonde weaved in...soooo over time I went from brown to blonde. So if you don't recognize me at the reunion we will just pretend it is because of the blonde and not because of the age! :)
