Susan's Story
I was born in Phoenix Arizona at the same hospital that I work in now as a nurse educator in the Neonatal ICU. I attended grade school at Madison #1 for 8 years and then 4 years at Camelback High from 1970 - 1974. The last year and 1/2 was spent in the art department and had a blast. After graduation I received my first degree, in art, from Phoenix College. Not very lucrative so I later attended Glendale Community College, University of Arizona and Arizona State University. I am married to my wonderful husband but we have no children, all of our "kids" have had tails. We live in the same neighbor hood that I grew up in and enjoy seeing/visiting with the same neighborhood famlies and kids I went to school with. I moved back to the neighborhood to care for my mother in her later years and never moved back out. I still enjoy art but only as a very part time hobby or occasional work project. h like to cook and hang out with our 2 dogs in and around the house. I may seem like a total home body but I also like to spend time out doors; we travel to the White Mountians and spend time out of state. We were in the Netherlands last year as well and have plans for cruising the Mediteranean and Italy in the future.
I like to read a variety of books and topics but my all time favorites are The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings. Pretty happy with the screen versions as well. I still love animation and try to see the new fetures when they come out.
When I draw/illustrate it is with ink, pencil and colored pencils. Used to do watercolors but not so much any more. My creative outlet is in the kitchen where i cook form scratch which I find very relaxing. Clean up not so much.

Just like in grade school spelling is not my strong point, you probably noticed.
