Susan's Story

I'm a retired paralegal. Worked 16 years in my Dad's law firm in Lansing. Dad died in February, 2000. I've been divorced since January 1984. I moved back to East Lansing in June 1983, and have been here ever since. I spend half the year in East Lansing & half the year at my home on Glen Lake, near Traverse City. I have 1 son, who was born in January 1979 (yes, he'll be 37 this year! How did he get to be 37 in the same time that I only aged 25 years?). He graduated from East Lansing High in '97. He got married in May 2009 & now has 2 sons, Nathan who is 5 & Matthew who is 4. I spend a lot of time online and traveling. I'm a big Nascar fan (Matt Kenseth #20). ey World & Vegas! Go to Vegas at least once a year, and on a cruise 3 times every 2 years. Went on a 15-day cruise to Hawaii in October 2013 & then on to Vegas for a week. I've been in a relationship for about 26 years with someone who has been a good friend since high school (he went to Okemos) and I'm very content & happy with my life right now. Mom passed away in January 2009. So now I spend a lot of time traveling between our cottage on Glen Lake (near Traverse City) and East Lansing. From May-November, I'm at the cottage most of the time, only going back to EL once in a while. My son & his family live in Owosso. He is a manager at Lowes & has been there for over 10 years.
