Susan's Story

Dear Friends, How lovely it is to see some of your photos and news of how you are and what you have been up to. As for me ,after graduation from Farmingdale State on long Island.(Advertising Art & Design) I worked in Manhattan for a fairly large ad agency. I married my college beau Herb in Sept of 1963. In 1964,we moved to the Albany N.Y. area where we stayed until 1980. During the years in Albany,we were blessed with four children, Gregory, Julie, Aaron and Jene`. Greg is an Army vet and police officer,Julie is a teacher, Aaron is a graphic artist and Jene` s career is in aviation. We have five grandchildren.Four boys and a girl. While there, we restored four homes, had an Art studio, worked hard and enjoyed the country life. In 1980,we moved to Altamonte Florida(near Orlando). Quite a change. I started an Advertising Agency and that lead to many adventures.....especially travel. In that respect,I was very lu...Expand for more
cky. Herb eventually joined the business as well as each of the kids (at different intervals in their lives....college etc.) In 2003, we moved to New Smyrna Beach (Orlando's beach, just south of Daytona). We 'd been coming here for years and finally settled in a pre-1883 house. Ten years later the renovation is finally done.....well not really.....you are never done in an older home. We turned the agency over to our son Aaron two years ago and are semi-retired. Gallery Images (original art -mostly oils imported from Europe). It's fun and keeps life interesting. Of course, having spent all these years as a commercial illustrator the plan is to have time in my studio to paint at will. It was so wonderful to visit with so many of my dear classmates and friends at the 50th reunion in Oneonta in 2010. We have all had such an impact on each other in those years growing up. I am grateful for each of you.Cheers, Susie
