Susan's Story
Susan is a widow. Her schools include Satellite High School, Delaura Junior High School, International School of Bangkok, Uplands School, American School Vientiane Laos.. She later attended El Cajon community, San Antonio College. She works(ed) at NAVMISSA/DHA, Kaiser Permanente, US Navy Hospital Corpsman.
Susan's interests include Travel, Gators. Music she likes includes Adele, Keaton Simons, Guns N' Roses. Books she likes include Ann Rule. Movies she likes include Team Twilight, The Sound Of Music, Harry Potter. Tubing in San Marcos with friends,
I met my husband when I was 12 in Vientiane Laos in 69. Our dads flew together with Air America. I saw him again in early 71 before dad died and then again at the end of 71 in Colorado Springs. I didnt see him again until May of 99 at an Air America Reunion in Lafayette, LA. We hung out together the whole weekend but he went home to Rockwall, TX and I went back to San Antonio. We didn't get together until Aug 2018 on the phone for 3 weeks and then I went up to Colorado to visit him near Alamosa, CO for a couple of weeks. He came back down to Texas and was going to stay on his step daughters property but things didn't work out so we moved in together in October. ergency back surgery in January. During his rehab in February he asked the neuro surgeon about a lump on the side of his head. 2 weeks later we found out that he had stage 4 prostate cancer. We got married in March and travelled as much as we could. Cuba was on his bucketlist and was something that we could do. We took a cruise in May of 2019. Had a great time with Joe and Cheryl Tingler. When we got back from the cruise we had a party in Deland at his brothers house to celebrate our wedding. We sold my house in Dec 2019 and bought our house in San Marcos in January 2020. We got to go to Colorado one more time that year and Ruidoso. After that we settled in and in November he passed away. I've traveled the east coast and gone west since he passed. Not much fun being at home alone.
More about Susan: I grew up around the world. Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Laos. Neve. r south of the equator but hoping to go to Australia to visit some great old friends. .
One daughter, 31 years old. I was in the medical field for 20 yrs but decided to get out and went into computers. I was working for the navy as a help desk coordinator as civil service! After being out of the Navy for 20 yrs it's great being back. I retired in 2019. Just hanging out now.
