Life After high school, I went off to Univ of the Pacific for music ed (yes, I continued to be a band geek). After a couple of years there, I transferred to San Diego State to be in a marching band. I then developed tendonitis in both wrists, and that ended my music career (no more band geek). I stayed in San Diego and loved it. Just didn't like being so far away from my parents. Got married in '02, then had my son in '03. My father was diagnosed with lung cancer on 3/12/04 and went through all the treatments. We drove to Marina for every holiday, just to spend the extra time with my parents and let them spoil my son. Then on 3/12/05, he was then diagnosed with cancer in the spinal cord. I came back up to Marina to help my parents out. A week later on 4/5, I lost both my parents. My Mom suffered a massive stroke the morning we were to remove my father from life support.
