Susan's Story
Life
My life has taken me to many new places. I married right after graduation in 1977 and had 2 beautiful children (Chrissy and Steve), which are now 27 and 26, both married and have 3 children each. Unfortunately that married last only 3 years. In 1986 I move to Tucson AZ and lived there for 7 years. Discovered that the desert was not my geographical draw, and moved to Canon City CO in 1993. I had a dream job working at an international college prepatory girls school. I loved the area and I loved the job, unfortunately after 105 years the school was forced to close, because of low enrollment. One good thing was during this time I met and married my current husband in 1997. My children were at this time 17 and 18 years old, but this new man in my life came with 3 small girls. moved to Sidney NE, where we bought a small ranch/farm of 160 acres. We have been raising quarter horses and now run a small herd of black angus cows. We also farm a little winter wheat. More of a hobby. The last of the 3 girls graduates high school this May and we spend allot of time enjoying our shared grandchildren. We ride horses and have a pretty quiet existance. We have added a few more acres and spend allot of time fixing fence and restoring old out buildings. I work at local John Deere dealeraship and my hsband is Head of Maintenence at Western Nebraska Community College. We ran away to Jamaica for a week in November and completely enjoyed ourselves and look forward to future travels. Pretty much my life in a nut shell.
