Susan's Story
Things have gone along all right. I married John forty seven years ago and we are still together. Our two kids are a pleasure to us, as is our grandson.
We have enjoyed traveling, backpacking, boating. We used to do some whitewater canoeing, but now we more do flat-water kayaking. We sold the sailboat years ago. I like to walk, read, watch birds, simple things.
Our trips have included visiting our son and daughter-in-law where they have been working for Chevron. We have been to Kazakhstan, Angola, and Houston; both to see them and to have a chance to see places that we would not otherwise get to.

tried moving to Washington State where it is so beautiful in the summer, and where our daughter and her family had moved. After three years we decided that it had been a mistake, and bought a house in Sebastopol, back in California. And then our daughter, her husband and our grandson moved back too. So it is all good except we have one more house then we really need.
I have a degree in accounting and worked for the federal government as a Certified Internal Auditor for a while, and then had a little tax prep business for a while. John was an attorney and a court commissioner. We are both happily retired.
