Susan's Story
My first day, fresh out of private school and on crutches for a chipped
pelvic bone, I had Givens in 106 for home room. I was late to every class, especially when I had to get a teacher
to get my crutches down from the overhead lights where one of the boys had placed them! I was pretty heavy
and had never been around guys in school...so I hung out with the "misfits."
I recall one in'68...the "misfits" took over the jukebox in the cafeteria. Peter Farago led the charge in the cafeteria and we played Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze" through the lunch hour...detention for those of us
who gladly fed it quarters to keep it going!

. For the next 18 years I
embarked on some outrageous adventures--so many stories, so little time!
I was working for local TV stations and agencies and also doing a part-time thing at the Mining Shack...met a lot of people in the music and broadcast industries. Free tickets to whatever, lavish parties, free trips and cruises-lots of perks that I was happy to take advantage of!
In '97 I opened my own successful Media Planning & buying business and elected to retire this year.
I'm married with two stepchildren and five grandchildren. And I have four
great nieces (8,5 and 4yr old twins-what a hoot!) so I think we will stay
busy in our retirement years!
