Susan's Story
Once a nurse, always a nurse. After high school I crammed 4 years of college into 3.5 and married a handsome young Navy Officer from Texas ( a blind date my brother arranged). I followed him around the world for 14 years and managed to fit in 3 great kids now age 33, 32 and 29. (Sarah, Ruth and Luke). After he and I parted ways in 1985 I returned to nursing full time. I spent several years teaching nursing school, then transitioned to running nursing homes for 12 years and in 2000 I graduated from University of Phoenix with a MSNFNP. cerville area in 1994 and I still live there today. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner I worked in a Family practice for 7 years then worked as a behavioral consultant for nursing homes for a year and now I'm opening a Family Practice Clinic for the United Auburn Indian Community. I expect to be here until I'm too old to fill a syringe. I have one 13 year old granddaughter and another is on the way. I still enjoy traveling as much as possible and try to get out of the US at least yearly with my daughter Ruth who has the same sense of adventure. The current photo was taken just before take-off at Nasca Peru in 3/08 as we were going up to see the Nasca Lines.
