Susan's Story
Heading into the Golden years; but still got a few more miles on these tires so I will keep on going. I have three children, three beautiful grandchildren, and countless "extended grandkids"... I lived my dreams and had fun doing them.; first as a DJ (boy the stories I could tell), then my favorite and most rewarding profession as an animal rescuer. I rescued abused, abandoned and neglected dogs cats and birds. I rehabilitated and treated ( my vet tech course came in very handy), then found them good homes. old Cherryhead Conure named Maxwell. He was by far the craziest parrot. He had a vocabulary of a trucker and in the same token, a soft spot for the twins when they were babies. He would sing "rock a bye baby" to them, would come to my gigs and sing karaoke with my partner ( he could sing Remember When almost as well as Alan Jackson). Max also appeared in court twice (no, I am not kidding). He had a tendency of "beaking off" at police when his "papa " was stopped for speeding and playing music too loud in a quiet zone. He was a character, that is for sure..
As you can see my life was not boring.
I have to say my high school memories are a blur but I do know I had some great friends and our class was the best there was.
