Susan's Story
Shortly after graduation, I moved to Fort Lauderdale Florida, where I met my husband. Married since 1983. As fate may have it, Not only was my husband a michigander but also he came from a dealership background too. Simpson Pontiac and Shalla Chevrolet. Lived in Florida for 14 years where I had three children, Stacy, Rob, and Brittany. In 1994 we move to Columbus Ohio, 1996 to Chicago Illinois, 2000, to Winnipeg, Manitoba-Canada, 2001 to Ottawa, Ontario-Canada and then ended up on Long Island, New York, where I live today. Our five year plan has now turned out to be 18 years and still going. My two daughters are married now and I have two grandchiildren.
My plan is to move South, not sure where but a warmer climate . A lot of things have happened in my 64 ...Expand for more
years of life. From kidnapping, hurricane, earthquake, DVT and Pulmonary embolism it almost cost me my life, to now suffering debilitating pain from ligament laxity. This condition has resulted in 30+ bone surgeries, which include multiple foot, knee and back surgeries. Never a dull moment for sure, hasn't always been an easy life. I enjoy being with my family and playing with my grandkids. I have a ton of memories to reflect back on and will continue to add to it. My mother died in 97, my father in 2004. Both of my husband's parents passed, his father in 2003 and his mother in 2014.
UPDATE
My husband Richard passed away suddenly on Jan. 2, 2021. Devasted. 39 years together, 37 married. I miss my sole mate terribly but he will live in my heart forever¡!!
