Susan's Story
Life
I received my undergraduate degree in finance from University of Massachusetts and my graduate degree in accounting from Bentley College. I am a CPA and was a management consultant with Ernst & Young for over 12 years, focusing on the health care and financial services sectors. Currently, I own and manages a real estate firm specializing in residential rehabs and management throughout greater Indianapolis .
I have been married to Walter Berger for over 27 years and have two adopted children. Christopher is 22 and John is 19. Walter and I moved to NYC and lived on the upper west side. ...Expand for more
Two months ago Walter took a job as CFO of Leap Wireless and we now live in La Jolla, California. What a change!
I have also been active as a board member of several not-for-profit organizations, including the Mental Health Association in Marion County, Lupus Foundation of Houston (where I was co-founder and president of the board). At the Kentucky Day School I was a member of the finance committee that was responsible for a highly successful ten million dollar capital campaign.
I also am co-founder of Blue Harbor Foundation - which raises money for scientific research for mood disorders.
