Susan's Story
Life
Afer graduating from Shasta High School,
I moved to Santa Barbara where I became involved with scuba diving and Hi definition underwater filmmaking. I specialize in
filming sharks and other marine life in the wild and have spent the last 16
years traveling all over the world, producing natural history documentaries
for networks such as Discovery Channel. I still live in Santa Barbara but
try to get up to Redding at least once in the summer (Whiskeytown Lake) and during the holidays. I have a greater appeciation for Redding and Northern California after living in
Los Angeles for five years. I am still great friends with Heather
Hassenpflug.... my side kick through elementary school (She is living in Red Bluff and Married to Dr. Fish) and hi...Expand for more
gh school.I look forward to getting in touch with some of my long lost friends from high school.
My greatest success is that I am a new mom to twin girls that are now 14 months old. Nothing is better than being a parent! This new change in life means I may be moving back to Redding to settle down.
Workplace
I am currently producing my own Hi Definition Documentary films for cable television film festivals and International broadcast. I just had my greatest success and was awarded my first big budget film. I also get to work as an assistant director for a extreme film making team that specializes in filming on the water, in the snow, in the air and at high speeds just about anywhere....
but even better is that I am working less.. enjoying life more.
