Jim's Story
Wilmington High those were the days.. After graduation, I enlisted in the USN, spent some time bathing in the sun in and around Viet Nam on a River Patrol boat. After several months of water skiing in the delta, the Navy assigned me to sea duty aboard an experiential destroyer escort.
I spent three years again bathing in the sun in the Caribbean (tough duty) keeping a close ear on Cuba. Discharged in 1971 I went back to work for Sears in PA doing computer work. In 1982, we moved to Dallas, TX where I managed a data processing cen...Expand for more
ter for a major food manufacture, we lived there until 1987 when I was transferred to Houston, TX. We have lived here is the suburbs of Houston in a town called Cypress just northwest of Houston since 1987. I now work for the University of Houston in charge of the computing systems for the university. Looking through the names on the site I see lots of names I can really put faces to. Of course they are faces of 16-19 year olds. I hope to at least have an opportunity to exchange greetings and thought with my fellow Red Devils.
