Susan's Story
I am and have been a chef since graduation. I started at Timberlanes, then moved to Pa. and began my 26 year career at Penn State University, where I have fed the entertainers who came to the college venue, including Korn, Shaina Twain, Cher, Bon Jovi, and so many others I am unable to list...I also fed the Nittany Lions teams.I am married to a wonderful man named Rod Merritts and we have 4 beautiful children who are grown now (only one is still at home). ove to relax. We are also avid Nascar Race Fans and enjoy going to several races each year. My 15 minutes of fame came twice the first time was being the PA Womens State Bowling champ which won me a trip to Las Vegas to bowl with the pros, what fun!
My second moment of fame was representing Penn State University (two years) in a original receipe cooking competition "iron chef style" I placed 4th one year and 3rd one year. The competition was with other colleges like Princeton, Virginia Tech and Rutgers. Hope you all have had wonderful years and memories as I have been blessed with and hopefully many more to come.
