Susan's Story
Life
I'm married for 22 yrs & have 2 boys (19 & 16). I work with my husband as a HVAC contractor. We have a business 25 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA. We live in a community like Chatham was, but a little more country like. We downsized our house a couple of years ago since the kids are getting older & no one visits us for days at a time like when we first built our house 20 yrs. ago. I have a lot of family in Pittsburgh now so everyone stays in the south hills area when they do visit. We moved 2 streets over from our original house. We live on 1 acre, 3 BR house with a pool that everyone seems to enjoy in the summer. I love to cook so I built an outdoor kitchen this summer; best thing I could have done. My friends & I take turns preparing different portions of the dinner each weekend. Of course the men do nothing except eat & drink.
Life is good & I really enjoy participating in my boys lives. Alex is in his sophmore yr of college studying sports...Expand for more
management & playing division 2 football. We go to his home games since it's only a 2 hr. drive. Ryan is a junior in high school playing football & basketball. I just stepped down as the booster president in BB and VP in football after several yrs. I'm enjoying just sitting & watching for these next 2 yrs.
My brother Greg lives near me but I don't see him as much as we should since he's busy too. He never married or had kids but then with my big family, he has enough nieces and nephews.
In our free time in the winter we like to go to the symphony. Bob had to be talked into at first but now he enjoys it plus his cousin married the assitant concert master so it gives him another reason to go & try to understand the music.
I also spend my free time doing fundraising for the Hope Center for abused women and some local politics. If I wasn't in business, I would probably run for township supervisor.
That's about all the excitment in my life as of 10/07.
