Susan's Story
Life
Update 2013. I now live in Alexandria and work for the State Department. I have the perfect job and the perfect apartment. I still have the two angel pomeranians AND a big black lab. I still have my home in beautiful King William, VA. Mr. Pippin is with me in Alexandria, little Foxy and big Midnight (they are BEST FRIENDS) are in King William. I am planning on buying a home in northern Virginia in the next couple years.
Working at the State Department, and living in my apartment, is like being at the UN; I love it!! The cafeteria is full of people and languages from all over the world. I work at the Foreign Services Institute (is is like the foreign affairs University - all agencies that have foreign service employees attend classes here; of course predominately the State Department.) I'm in the School of Leadership and Mana...Expand for more
gement, in the Leadership Training Division. My Division offers many classes and we primarily are responsible for 4 mandatory leadership classes, 3 of which are for the top 3 civil service and foreign service grades.
I go to Richmond 1-2 times a month, all my family is still in Richmond. I have great friends in northern virginia and of course in Richmond. I am on the Board of Directors for my church in Alexandria, and attend lots of interesting classes on t he weekends. I have also started making jewelry - it is a fabulous creative outlet.
2009: Currently I'm living in beautiful King William, Virginia - I've been here about 15 years (as of 2009) and have a little over 5 acres and a small house.
Also - I have two angel Pomeranians (not a special breed - just perfect little pals). Other pets include fish, frogs, and hermit crabs.
