Susan's Story
September 2012 - Still in Houston, still volunteering at the Houston Area Women's Center. My daughter gave me another granddaughter two years ago and is expecting in November. We are considering closing our company this year and staying retired this time. We've been travelling a lot around the U.S. until recently when Bill had to have back surgery again. All in all life is good. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Hawaii this year with our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, Scout.
February 2009- Okay, so I don't update very often... We are living back in Houston. My husband retired in 2006 and managed to stay retired for 13 months. His industry needs people badly, so he was convinced to go back to work. We started our own consulting company and I get to keep the books, lucky me. Let's just say it's a good thing we only have two employees. I volunteer at the Women's Center answering the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis hotlines. Since...Expand for more
I last updated this, my daughter got married and lives about five minutes from me. Our son had another daughter who is almost three years old. We also got a new dog, a Cairn Terrier who is nine months old now. She is, of course, adorable and keeps us busy!
March 2005- I am and have been, Susan Ellis for the last 32 years. I currently live in Aberdeen, Scotland and maintain a home in Houston, TX. I am the Aberdeen rep for FAWCO (Federation of American Women's Clubs Overseas)A worldwide organization working to bring people together. My two children are grown, the oldest is married with a one year old daughter and the youngest is working as a recruiter for a large energy company. Since graduation, I've lived in nine countries and three states. I am a published poet and sudden fiction writer. I signed up with Classmates to try to connect with Rod Herring, among others in the drama department at Narbonne. If anyone knows where he is please let me know.
