Susan's Story
Life
I've been teaching for twenty-five years now. After ten years in Palm Beach, Florida, I started teaching overseas with Dept. of Defense Dependent Schools. The last fifteen with DoDDS has taken me from Iceland, to Italy, to mainlaind Japan, and the last eight years have on Okinawa. Starting in August 2002 I will be living and teaching in Baumholder, Germany. the adventures just keep on going.

The hightened security and being attached to and teaching on a military base has proven to be challenging and stressful in itself, but we all press on and take care of the business at hand, creating a safe environment and educating our children. It is wonderful to see the renewed sense of patriotism at home as well as the outpouring of concern from our host country.
