Susan's Story

I was in 29 Palms 7th through 10th grade, and left in the summer after my sophomore year when my dad was transferred to Memphis, TN. I finished high school at Barlett High School and then went on to Maryville College in Maryville, TN, receiving a BA in psychology in 1984. social work and took some time off when I had kids (three...girl, boy, girl). When my youngest was 4 I went back to work doing medical transcription from home, which was a great way to earn money, but also be able to be a stay at home mom. I'm still doing transcription, have been married 23 years, and the kids are now 20, 18, and 15. Two in college and one more at home. We now live in my husband's home town in northeast Ohio.
