Susanne's Story
Well, it seems hard to briefly write a 40 year summation of what's been going on with me. The summer that I graduated I started to school at Auburn University. I met my husband of 36 years on a blind date that fall. We got married 3 years later after I graduated.(I didn't want to go back home to Mom and Dad) My grown children now say "Mom, what were you thinking, getting married so young?"But that's what we did. And of course it has been very good. We have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. The kids are all doing well. 2 of them are married to great spouses. So we are blessed.
My husband is an Attorney for the Department of Transportation for the State. We have been in Montgomery for 22 years.

me with a 3 month old and a 3 year old. My degree from Auburn in Interior Design did not seem to be compatable with little ones. I was intrigued with the idea of being my own boss with flexible hours and working from home. There were some tricky times with trying to grow my self into a business woman,however. But I am pretty stubborn and of course my parents raised us not to be quitters.
Twenty eight years later, I just love my life and what I do everyday. I have earned 14 free cars, and many prizes but most importantly than the financial benefits, I love my "ministry" to the women in my life that comes with what I do. There is much satisfaction in finding this purpose for my life. I am not at all like the shy nerd that I feel like I was in High School.All in all, I guess you could say I am very blessed.
