Susie's Story
I am living in Livingston, Texas (about 75 miles NE of Houston), a small, rural community, working for the Escapees RV Club as their copy editor for all their publications. I am married to Ray Gearing, a retired Presbyterian minister. We spend our time volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, having started the Polk County affiliate nearly 10 years ago. e are both active Rotarians, and I also volunteer for the Polk County Emergency Health Board, serving as its president for the past three years. We both sing in the choir at the First Methodist Church in Livingston. Our health is good, and we live independently. We will celebrate our birthdays on Dec. 5 (mine) and Dec. 7 (Ray's). Can't believe how lucky I am to be alive at this age and still able to do about anything I want to do.
