Hi, 1971 HHS Grads!
Here's an update on the HHS Multi-Year Reunion and BBQ Social that was held on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006. Folks from the classes of 1966 through 1971 attended, and the classes of 1969 and 1971 had the best showing I believe.
The Party Barn was decorated with twinkly lights, sawdust covered the floor, the outdoor fire pit was roaring when it wasn't raining, the BBQ was absolutely delicious, and the company was the best ever!
It's really enjoyable to meet and greet folks from the long-ago days of elementary school, junior high, and high school. Now that I'm older, my favorite greeting at reunions is, "Hi, how are you? Now tell me who you are! Oh, I'm so happy to see you!"

nch, including a lone buffalo (a real one)! A very loud, braying donkey made his presence known in no uncertain terms, and fanciful emus strutted around in a fenced area nearby.
Since the reunion, I've been getting back to my other usual activities at home (with hubby and four cats), at work (still doing technical writing for American Airlines), at church (thanks be to God!), at the Society for Technical Communications (i before e except after c), and with family near and far (stepson in the Peace Corps in Macedonia, Mom in Haltom City, sister's family in Houston, my relatives in the Galveston area, and my hubby's family in Arkansas). So I don't think I'll ever really catch up with everything. That would be too boring. HA!
