Suzanne's Story

Wow, where to start? After graduation, worked at Kaiser Permanente on Somersville until 1987 when I had my son, Ryan. Became a stay at home mom, had my daughter Natalie in 1991. Got married in 1983 to my cousin's best friend, Mike. Had some retail jobs here and there.I live in Danville. ning. I always knew there was heart disease in my family, but melanoma? No one in my family has ever had it. I knew I had to have a strong will to fight this. Have been a guest speaker for Relay For Life, and I have met many people battling this disease. I've been clear of cancer for almost 3 years. I now volunteer in my local hospital. I love the flexibility of it. Since I had the background of working at Kaiser, it feels really fulfilling to be able to be in the medical community again and having interaction with the patients.
