Suzanne's Story
Roy and I married in 1970. We have two children, Joe and Beth. I worked as a secretary from 1966 to 1981. We live in the McKinley Park neighborhood. Roy taught at St. Joseph High from 1970 to 1976 then went to CPS. He has a Doctorate degree in Education from the University of Sarasota. Roy was a CPS principal for 15 years and retired in 2010. Then he went and became principal at St. Paul/Our Lady of Vilna School until the school was closed and retired again in 2013.
Our travels: many times to Disney World; and historical sites in the East. In June of 1999 we went to Paris and Normandy for the 55th anniversary of D-Day. In May of 2010 we went to Rome where our daughter was studying. Saw the sites in Pisa, Florence, ...Expand for more
Naples, Pompeii, and saw the Shroud of Turin. Took the Scavi Tour under St. Peter's, Sistine Chapel, Coloseum and Forum. Our daughter was a fabulous tour guide.
I am an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and Lector at Blessed Sacrament Parish (which consists of Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Maurice and SS. Peter and Paul). I also help with various fundraising efforts. Roy is an usher. We both tutor at the Aquinas Literacy Center. I am Secretary of the LSC at Evergreen Middle School Academy and Vice President/Treasurer of the McKinley Park Civic Association. This year I received the Community Service Award from the MPCA and also Roy and I were honored by our parish at their annual banquet for our service there.
